In response to shifting buyer behavior and the rise of AI, HubSpot has introduced Loop Marketing — a new four-stage framework designed to help marketers combine human creativity with AI efficiency.
Unlike traditional linear funnels, Loop Marketing works as a continuous cycle. It’s built around four stages: Express → Tailor → Amplify → Evolve. Each loop sharpens messaging, targeting, and performance.

The Four Stages of Loop Marketing
1. Express
This is where brand identity and voice are defined. You tell AI who you are — your tone, values, messaging— so that AI content, visuals, and campaigns feel distinctly you.
2. Tailor
In this stage, you make your messaging personally relevant. Using unified customer data (behavior, intent, web signals), AI helps you segment audiences and generate content customized to their profile, role, timing, etc. Human review ensures the AI remains aligned with your brand.
3. Amplify
Great content needs reach. Here, you replicate and remix your content across channels — from social to email, video to chat — while optimizing for AI discovery (ChatGPT, etc.). You can also deploy AI agents, smart ads, and channel-specific content.
4. Evolve
Now the loop becomes scientific. Monitor performance in real time, run A/B tests, detect anomalies, and let AI surface optimization suggestions. Every loop helps the system learn faster and make your next campaign smarter.
Why Loop Marketing matters
-
Bridges inbound and AI: Loop Marketing doesn’t discard inbound marketing; it builds on it for the AI era.
-
Adapts to changing discovery: As more users use chat or AI tools instead of search engines, Loop helps optimize for AI visibility (not just SEO).
-
Scales creativity + optimization: You keep human authenticity while AI handles scale, testing, and responsiveness.
-
Works with existing tools: You don’t need a complete overhaul. Your current CRM, content library, and automation engines can still function inside the Loop framework.
So Loop Marketing will replace Inbound Marketing?
Loop doesn’t replace Inbound so much as repurpose it. Inbound has always focused on the customer journey (awareness → consideration → decision), while Loop acts more like an internal process.
The shift to a “loop” feels like a marketing move — adding complexity to something essentially still four steps.
We all do remember flywheel, right? The Loop uses the Flywheel's idea, but adds the Evolve stage. This stage utilizes AI to enhance the entire journey.
Actually, each step of Loop has AI references — sometimes meaningful, sometimes superficial. AI is really everywhere today.
That said, finally there's a better use case: AI for personalization, not generic content generation.
